Welcome to PIBC Peer Learning Network

Empowering local governments and practitioners through shared knowledge and collaboration.

Why PIBC Peer Learning Network?

PIBC developed the Peer Learning Network (PLN) to connect local governments, practitioners, and partners so that they can share resources, strategies, and wise practices relating to BC's new provincial housing legislation.

The Results You'll Get

Our community, courses, and memberships are pretty special. We’re focused on the ways it will make a huge difference in your life.

Here are a few of the things you’ll be able to do as a member of PIBC Peer Learning Network:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with colleagues from local governments, regional districts, external organizations, and the private sector to share resources and approaches that will help everyone understand and implement BC's new housing legislation.
  • Access shared resources and learning, including legal information, emerging practices, topic and region-specific webinars and learning events, and links to additional resources.
  • Learn wise practices from partners, enhancing your capacity and ability to implement programs and actions relating to the new housing legislation in BC.

When You Join the PLN

When you join PIBC Peer Learning Network, you’ll get access to:

  • Regional Discussion Boards: Engage in ongoing, regional discussions that build on the conversations from PLN's in-person learning events. These boards give you the opportunity to discuss local concerns and, potentially, develop a regional approach with your virtual colleagues!
  • Topic-based Discussion Boards: Join one of our topic-based discussions where you can engage directly with other practitioners who are addressing similar issues concerning BC's housing legislation. Use these boards to share resources and precedent, ask questions, and brainstorm solutions with your colleagues!
  • Resource Library: PIBC's Peer Learning Network has been developing and collecting resources concerning BC's new provincial housing legislation. We have compiled these resources into an evolving resource library to support practitioners in developing a thorough understanding of the legislation and its implications, finding support and resources, and paving the way for more effective implementation.
